By December 31, 2025, Maine will issue a request for proposals for the development and operation of a qualifying facility hydrogen facility to participate in the Clean Hydrogen Pilot Program. The facility will receive support from the program to produce and distribute clean hydrogen, including special contract negotiation between the facility and relevant transmission and distribution utilities in the area for up to 20 MW of electricity.
